Gameloft

Gameloft, founded 1999, is headquartered in Paris France. It's home to over 4,000 employees and specialises in computer and video games. Gameloft is a listed company on the Paris Stock Exchange.

Gameloft has been a profitable company since 2003 and is expecting a 25%-30% growth for 2008.

Distributed in over 80 countries, Gameloft sells its phone game products through a variety of sources, its own online shop included. Handset manufacturers, telephone wireless carriers and others carry Gameloft's products. It develops products for mobile phones and handset mobiles that are Java, BREW or Symbian OS enabled. They also produce games for handheld consoles, Nintendo DS, iPod and Playstation Portable to name a few.

Rumor has it in issue 172 of Game Informer, according to the founder Michel Guillemont, they are looking into products for Wii.

His quote from the article:

"The Wii is certainly a very interesting machine. At Gameloft, it's the creators that decide which machine they want to support based on what they think that can do on it. Clearly the Wii is a very good candidate because it's a great machine, it's a great gaming experience, and our creators are looking at it very seriously."

Gameloft recently told the world that they were building games for apple iPhone, beginning with 15 games in 2008.
